Obviously, you want to know more about me, otherwise, you wouldn't be here. Here's the basic rundown. I'm a 20 year-old computational physics major at Illinois State University. I am also working toward a minor in mathematics and a minor in computer science. Some might say that science is my religion. Those people don't understand what science is. Science is certainly not a set of dogmatic beliefs which hold no basis in fact. It is a method that I adhere to on most things, hence my outright rejection of all religions. I'm a secular humanist atheist, meaning that I draw my moral code from secular humanism, and that I hold no beliefs in god or the supernatural. The claims that they do exist are unfalsifiable, illogical and unscientific, so I don't ascribe any validity to the idea because an idea cannot be both logically valid and unfalsifiable. I'm also a hardline skeptic, meaning that I think that TV psychics, televangelists, priests and the so-called "quantum mystics" (who claim that quantum mechanics actually proves the notion of "Chi") are all completely full of shit for various reasons that are covered here, in my little corner of the internet. I'm also a computer geek, a proud Mac OS X user, and a rabid, foaming at the mouth Star Wars fan (and, yes, I liked Episode II). Well, that's all I'll put in here for now. More images of my glorious visage. Above: My sister (right) and me (left) at her graduation dinner, May 2003. Above: My high school senior picture, taken in 2001. Above: One of my floormates, Djorge (right), and me (left), when I lived on the international floor in Atkin-Colby. Above: As you've probably noticed, this isn't me. This is Alyson Hannigan. I put her here because she's hot. |
