If you can work up a few tears and make some stabbing gestures while you say "knife" that's even better. Second way to purchase a weapon: Enter sporting goods store. Take a wooden and a metal baseball bat and ask "Which of these will blood wash off of easier?" Third way to purchase a weapon: Enter specialty store. Point to a sword and ask "Now, that looks impressive, but is it sturdy? For example, if it hits a bone is the blade going to break, cause I don't want to be back here in a week to buy a new one." Fourth way to purchase a weapon: Enter hardware store. Pick up hammer and say "This is exactly what I was looking for. Now, could you tell me, which is better for penetrating a skull, the ball end or the claw end, cause I can see arguments for both ways." If they don't answer say "That's okay.
