So It Is

So it is So it shall be Here I stand So full of misery Counting the days Until my demise Awaiting my passage From this world of lies Everyone says That I have a gift But yet none are willing To give me a lift Your talent is great You are so bright But I see my fate And something ain't right For all that they say For all of the praise Words without action Don't help me to raise Myself up from this Dark dismal hole Words will not free My tormented soul So here I am Alone on a ledge Looking for something To give me an edge To jump and to fall Or raise up and soar I've said it quite A few times before This life ain't worth squat Without any greed
